The Kansas women's basketball team opened up postseason play on Wednesday night in Kansas City, Missouri, during the opening round of the Big 12 Conference postseason tournament.

KU, seeded 11th after a 16-13 overall and 6-10 Big 12 regular season, fell to No. 14 seed Texas Tech, 57-53 in the final game of the day at T-Mobile Center in downtown KCMO.

The loss dropped the Jayhawks to 16-14 overall and now Kansas will wait to see if there's any postseason play in its future. If there is, it will not be in the NCAA Tournament.

But, either way, the Jayhawks will reload in the offseason and prepare to make a run at the Big Dance with a couple of elite incoming recruits and a strong returning core from this season.

Here's a look back at some of Wednesday night's action against Texas Tech.
