The KU women saw a 4-game winning streak snapped as they dropped their Big 12 Conference opener, 85-60 to No. 25 West Virginia on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse.
KU (7-5 overall, 0-1 Big 12) trailed by 13 at halftime and could never find a way to get back into the game after that.
Holly Kersgieter led Kansas with 21 points — including 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range — and Taiyanna Jackson recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Next up, KU will play at Iowa State on Wednesday, with a road trip to Texas Tech after that before the next home game.
