The 11th-ranked TCU women's basketball team hasn't played a ton of single-digit games this season.
But they did on Wednesday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse.
Unfortunately for the home team, the Horned Frogs were up to the task of closing out the game even with it coming down to the wire, knocking off a tough and spirited effort by Kansas, 80-73 at Allen Fieldhouse.
The loss dropped the Jayhawks to 11-4 overall and 1-3 in Big 12 play. TCU improved to 16-1 overall and 4-0 in Big 12 action.
Kansas was led by 24 points from S'Mya Nichols and 19 more from Elle Evans, who played all 40 minutes in the loss.
TCU got 49 points from the 1-2 punch of big Sedona Prince (30 points, 14 rebounds) and play-making guard Hailey Van Lith, the closer, who added 19 points and 6 assists.
Here's a look back at some of Wednesday's action.
Next up, KU will take on Colorado on the road on Saturday.
