The 16th-ranked Kansas men's basketball team played host to No. 8 Iowa State in the first Big Monday battle of the 2024-25 season Monday night at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Jayhawks and Cyclones both entered the game on the heels of disappointing weekends, with KU blowing a 21-point lead in a road loss to Baylor and Iowa State losing by 19 to Kansas State at home.
That added even more juice to an already intense matchup, which has become one of the better rivalries in the Big 12 and also had both teams in need of a win to get back on track.
Only one could, of course, and Kansas led for 35 minutes and rolled to a 69-52 win that delighted the home fans.
Here's a look back at some of Monday night's action.
