Columbia, Missouri — The top-ranked Kansas men's basketball team, which is destined to take quite a tumble when the new polls come out on Monday, dropped its second game of the week on the road on Sunday, falling to Border War rival Missouri, 76-67 at Mizzou Arena.
The Jayhawks (7-2) started slow and fell behind big, trailing 57-33 at one point during the second half. But even for as poorly as they played (22 turnovers & 39.7% shooting) and as intense as the atmosphere was inside the Tigers' home gym, the Jayhawks used a 15-0 run that turned into 24-5 to climb all the way within two late in the game.
But the Tigers made the all the plays from that point on, hitting clutch 3-pointers and free throws to get to the finish line in an upset that set off a wild court-storming and celebration.
Here's a look back at some of the action from Sunday's loss.
