The Kansas women's soccer team scored the only goal of the 2nd half on Thursday night to earn a 2-2 draw with visiting BYU at Rock Chalk Park.

The game-tying goal came from KU's Lexi Watts in the 53rd minute, giving Watts her 5th goal of the season and moving the Jayhawks to 5-5-4 on the season, including a 2-4-1 mark in Big 12 play under first-year coach Nate Lie.

KU's other goal came midway through the first half, when a BYU player knocked it into the Cougars' net for an own goal to tie the game at 1-all. KU goalkeeper Sophie Dawes delivered a career-best 6 saves in the match.

Next up, the Jayhawks will play host to Utah at noon on Sunday in their final home match of the 2024 season. After that, it's on the road for three in a row — Oct. 17 at Arizona, Oct. 20 at Arizona State & Oct. 25 at K-State — to close out the regular season.
