The Kansas football team was back on the field in full force on Tuesday morning for Day 1 of preseason camp.
In 31 days, the Jayhawks will kick off the 2023 season with a home game against Missouri State and with it the follow-up to their successful run in 2022 which ended in a bowl game for the first time in 14 years.
The goals are bigger than ever in 2023 and this bunch wants to do much more than just make it to a bowl game this time around.

Kansas coach Lance Leipold met with the media following the season's first official practice and Leipold said it was not difficult to identify the two biggest areas of growth in the program from Day 1 of camp in 2021 to Day 1 of camp in 2023.
"We've talked about how far we've come in physical development and understanding of the game and how we go about it and those things," Leipold said. "But one of the things I think that has changed, externally of course, is expectations. Internally, I think what's changed for the better is confidence."
