After dropping a tough, five-set match to No. 25 Purdue in their home opener earlier in the week, the 23rd-ranked Kansas volleyball team bounced back two days later for a home win over No. 19 Marquette.
The Jayhawks (3-1) dropped the first set and then won three straight to take the match, 21-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-19 to send the sold-out crowd home happy.
The Jayhawks will return to action Thursday and Friday in Wichita at the Shocker Volleyball Classic. Ray Bechard's team will take on Wichita State at 7 p.m. Thursday and tangle with Colorado at 3 p.m. Friday at Charles Koch Arena.
KU's next home match is slated for Sept. 12 vs. Oral Roberts.
