It’s the second time this season Kansas has scored back-to-back on each of its first two drives of the game (UNLV).

Offensive Notes

• Senior RB Devin Neal recorded his 40th career touchdown with a two-yard score late in the first quarter. Neal, who has 37 rushing touchdowns and three receiving scores in his career, moved into No. 2 on the KU career touchdowns list, passing Bobby Douglass who had 39 from 1966-68. June Henley (1993- 95) is KU’s all-time leader with 42.

• Neal had 73 yards total offense and now has 4,085 for his career. Neal now ranks third on Kansas’ career total offense as he passed Clark Green who had 4,068 from 2002-05.

• Redshirt-junior QB Jalon Daniels completed his 36th career touchdown pass on the opening drive with a 15-yard pass to Luke Grimm. Daniels is now in sole possession of fourth place in school history, breaking a tie with David Jaynes. Daniels had 179 passing yards to surpass 5,000 career, making him the sixth player in Kansas football history to accomplish this feat, and he passed Carter Stanley (2016-19) for No. 5 in career passing yards, with 5,102.

• Senior WR Luke Grimm found his fourth season and 21st career touchdown on Kansas’ opening drive of the game with a 15-yard reception as he currently ranks second in career touchdown receptions in school history. Of Grimm’s 21 career touchdown catches, 10 have been from Jalon Daniels. In all four career games against TCU, Grimm has scored at least a single touchdown as he recorded two in 2020 and one in 2021, 2022 and 2024. His six receptions for 85 yards moved him past Mark Simmons (155) for fourth place in career receptions as he now has a career total of 156.

It marked just the third time in his career Hishaw led KU in rushing with the last time going for 73 yards on 10 carries at Oklahoma in 2020. In the third quarter Hishaw scored his third rushing touchdown of the season and 18th of his career.

Defensive Notes

• Kansas’ three turnovers forced against TCU were a season high. The Jayhawks have forced five turnovers in its last two games.

• Senior CB Mello Dotson recorded an interception to end TCU’s first drive of the second half. This is the second-straight game in which Dotson has recorded an interception and his third of the season. This is the third time in his career that Dotson has recorded interceptions in consecutive games. Dotson now has 10 interceptions in his career, which is tied for No. 5 in Kansas football history with teammate Cobee Bryant, Wayne Ziegler (1983-86), LeRoy Irvin (1976-79) and Gary Adams (1970-72).

• Senior CB Cobee Bryant recorded his first forced fumble of the season in the first quarter. It was the second forced fumble of career and first since forcing one last season against BYU (9-23-23), that he also returned for a touchdown. With a stop on the first play of the second quarter, Bryant recorded his 100th career tackle.

• Bryant posted a career-high 10 tackles, six solo, surpassing his previous high of seven against UCF (10-7-23). The last time a Kansas player recorded 10+ tackles was Kenny Logan at Cincinnati (11-25-2023).

• Redshirt senior DE Dylan Wudke recorded his first career fumble recovery after Cobee Bryant forced a fumble on TCU’s first drive of the game. He also tallied his third tackle for loss on the season.
