Ames, Iowa — The 9th-ranked Kansas men's basketball team dropped its first road conference game of the season Wednesday night, falling 74-57 at No. 2 Iowa State.
The Jayhawks trailed for nearly 36 minutes of the game and never found a way to climb over the hump any time they made a run at the Cyclones.

The loss dropped KU to 12-4 overall and 3-2 in Big 12 play heading into this weekend's Sunflower Showdown rivalry game against Kansas State.
Tipoff for that one is slated for Noon (central) on CBS.

• Senior point guard Dajuan Harris Jr. added 8 points and dished out a team-high 7 assists. Harris now trails Jacque Vaughn (1994-97) by 42 assists for second place on Kansas’ all-time list. Harris has 762 for his career, while Vaughn sits in second on the list at 804 for his career.
• Freshman forward Flory Bidunga scored 6 points on 3-for-3 shooting and blocked 4 shots. Bidunga now has 4 or more blocks in two games this season, both of which came on the road.
• Junior guard AJ Storr scored his 1,000th career point, becoming the sixth Jayhawk on this year’s roster with 1,000+ career points. Storr had 999 career points entering the contest and now has 1,004 points for his career.
