Throughout each season, there are interesting notes and nuggets of information that come out of every game, win or lose.

Here’s a quick look at some of the more interesting and noteworthy facts and stats from KU's road game at Big 12 newcomer Arizona State on Saturday at Mountain America Stadium.

Team Notes

• Kansas is now 607-684-58 all-time, including 18-26 in the Lance Leipold era

Offensive Notes

• Redshirt-junior QB Jalon Daniels completed 18-of-31 pass attempts for a season-high 260 yards and two touchdowns in the game. Daniels also carried the ball 6 times for 14 yards and a touchdown, scoring his third rushing touchdown of the season and 16th of his career in the first quarter. Daniels moved into No. 4 in school history for career passing yards, surpassing David Jaynes (1971-73), and No. 3 in career yards of total offense, moving past Chip Hilleary (1989-92). Daniels also tossed the 37th and 38th touchdown passes of his career, moving past Carter Stanley (2016-19) for No. 3 in school history and into a tie with former teammate Jason Bean (2021-23) for No. 2.

• Senior wide receiver Quentin Skinner set new career highs with 6 receptions and 130 receiving yards, while matching a career-best with two receiving touchdowns. He hauled in his first two touchdowns of the season and now has nine in his career, with scores of 30 and 34 yards on the night

• Senior wide receiver Luke Grimm finished with 3 receptions for 33 yards. Grimm is No. 4 in Kansas Football history with 159 career receptions

Defensive Notes

• Senior CB Mello Dotson forced and recovered an Arizona State fumble in the second quarter, marking the second of each in his career. Dotson previously forced a fumble against Texas Tech in 2021 and recovered one vs. Baylor in 2021. Dotson finished the game with five tackles, including four assists, and one pass breakup.

• Redshirt-junior DE Dean Miller recorded two tackles for loss as part of his four tackles on the night. Miller has had at least one-half tackle for loss in four of KU’s six games this season and four tackles for loss for the year.

• Redshirt junior CB Devin Dye recorded his first interception as a Jayhawk, picking off Arizona State’s Sam Leavitt at the goal line in the third quarter. Dye
finished the game with two tackles in addition to the interception.

• Senior safety O.J. Burroughs led the Jayhawks with 11 tackles and one half tackle for loss. Burroughs had five solo stops and six assists to reach double figures in tackles for the second time in his career.

Special Teams Notes

• Redshirt-junior DT Kenean Caldwell blocked a 38-yard field goal attempt by Arizona State in the second quarter. This marked the first blocked field goal by the Jayhawks since Jereme Robinson recorded one vs. Tennessee Tech in the 2022 season opener.

• Sophomore P Damon Greaves averaged 41.8 yards per on four punts, with a long of 52 yards and one that pinned the Sun Devils inside their own 20-yard line.

• Senior PK Tabor Allen remained perfect on field goal attempts this season, hitting a 21-yarder in the third quarter to improve to 6-for-6 on field goals for the year.
