Here’s a quick look at some of the more interesting and noteworthy facts and stats from KU's first Big 12 win of the season, 42-14 over Houston at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday.

Team Notes
• Kansas is now 608-684-58 all-time, including 19-26 in the Lance Leipold era
• This is Kansas’ third consecutive victory on Homecoming, improving the Jayhawks to 47-60-5 on Homecoming all-time
• Kansas earns its first victory at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium since Nov. 28, 2009, when the Jayhawks defeated No. 12 Missouri, 40-37
Offensive Notes
• Redshirt junior QB Jalon Daniels threw for 247 yards on 16-of-21 passing with three touchdowns. This marks the 7th game in his career that Daniels has thrown for three or more touchdowns and the first of the season. During the game, Daniels moved to No. 3 in career passing yards (5,609) at Kansas and No. 2 in career yards of total offense (6,392), along with moving into sole possession of No. 2 in career touchdown passes (41). Daniels added 58 yards and a touchdown on seven rushing attempts. He has had back-to-back 4 total touchdown games.
• In two career games vs. Houston, Daniels has now accounted for nine touchdowns. He has six passing touchdowns and 405 yards through the air, three rushing touchdowns, and 181 yards on the ground against Houston dating back to 2022.
• Senior running back Devin Neal ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. He recorded his 17th 100-yard game in his career, which moves him into a tie with Tony Sands (1988-91) for the most in program history. Neal moved into a tie with June Henley (1993-96) for first all-time in career touchdowns with 43 and he is one rushing touchdown away from tying Henley’s career record. Neal also recorded three receptions for 26 yards, moving to No. 4 all-time in career receptions by a running back with 62, passing Henley.
• For his career, Neal now has 3,769 rushing yards, which is 20 yards away from moving to No. 2 all-time in career rushing yards for a Kansas running back. He enters his next game 73 yards away from KU’s all-time rushing record of 3,841 career yards, another record also currently held by Henley.
• Senior wide receiver Quentin Skinner caught his third touchdown of the season in the first quarter, a 48-yard touchdown from Jalon Daniels. It marks his 10th career touchdown reception.
• Senior tight end Jared Casey scored a touchdown on both of his receptions against Houston, finishing with two receptions for five yards and two scores. This is the first time that Casey has recorded multiple touchdown receptions in a game. Casey now has 10 career touchdown receptions while at Kansas.
• Senior wide receiver Lawrence Arnold recorded four receptions for a team-high 80 yards and moved to No. 6 all-time in career receiving yards with 2,153 yards. Right behind Arnold is Luke Grimm, who finished with one reception for nine yards to give him 2,145 career receiving yards.
Defensive Notes
• For the first time in his career, senior cornerback Cobee Bryant recorded multiple interceptions as he picked off both of Houston’s quarterbacks once in the first half. He intercepted Donovan Smith in the third quarter again, marking his third interception of the game. He became the first Kansas player with multiple interceptions in a game since Hasan Defense had two at West Virginia in 2018.
• Bryant now has four interceptions this season and 13 for his career, which is tied for second in school history with Aqib Talib (2005-07). He tied a singlegame school record with three interceptions in a game, it is the fourth time in school history with the last time being in 1958 by Bill Crank vs. Tulane. He is the first FBS player with three interceptions in a game this season, and the first Power 4 player since Nov. 19, 2022, to do so.
• The Kansas defense recorded a season-high 6.0 sacks, which was led by D.J. Withers, who recorded his first two sacks of his career. JB Brown also recorded multiple sacks today and brings his total to 4.0 on the season. Dean Miller and Marvin Grant also recorded a sack in the win.
• Kansas’ six sacks on Saturday were the most in a game since compiling six vs. Illinois in 2023.
• Kansas’ defense accounted for 12.0 tackles-for-loss on Saturday, which is the most by a Jayhawk defense since accounting for 12.0 vs. Tennessee Tech on Sept. 2, 2022. It was also Kansas’ first double-digit tackles-for-loss game since compiling 10.0 at Nevada on 16, 2023.
• Senior O.J. Burroughs led the team in tackles with seven total (six solo) and a tackle-for-loss.
• Senior Cornell Wheeler recorded his first interception of the season and the second of his career, with his first interception being at Texas in 2023.
• Kansas recorded four interceptions on Saturday, marking the first time with four or more interceptions in a game since compiling four at Central Michigan in 2018.
