Arlington, Texas — Four Kansas football players and head coach Lance Leipold took their turn in front of the Big 12 Conference media on Wednesday for Day 1 of the annual Big 12 Media Days event at AT&T Stadium.
Quarterback Jalon Daniels, safety Kenny Logan Jr., running back Devin Neal and linebacker Rich Miller fielded questions about the upcoming season, what went right last year and whether KU can sustain the success it enjoyed a season ago.
While the answers carried a fair amount of confidence about what the Jayhawks are building in Lawrence, all four players still spoke of a team that needs to earn respect. KU was picked to finish 9th in the 14-team Big 12 in the preseason media poll and that alone, along with the Jayhawks' desire to keep raising the bar for themselves and their program, was reminder enough that Leipold's team still has plenty of work to do to get where it wants to go.
Here are a few photos of some of the highlights from Wednesday. Check back with Wave the Wheat throughout the rest of the week for more on KU's time in Arlington.
