The 20th-ranked Kansas volleyball opened up play at the Jayhawk Classic with a three-set sweep of Bellarmine in the opening match.
After dropping the first point of the match, KU quickly grabbed a 2-1 lead and never trailed again the rest of the afternoon.
KU will close out the weekend with a match against New Hampshire at 7 p.m. Friday night and another against Texas State at 1 p.m. Saturday before jumping into Big 12 play next week.
Friday’s early win moved the Jayhawks to 7-1 on the season.
